The series is tied 1-1 all-time.The Cougars come into this one ranked 21st in the nation and the Aggies are 16-99 (.139) all-time against foes ranked in The Associated Press Top 25.The Aggies seek to break a 14-game losing streak to ranked teams Thursday evening.Utah State scores 84 points per game and surrenders 66 points per contest, each of which are the best in the Mountain West Conference.The Aggies are 4th in the nation in rebounding margin (+13.2) and have out-rebounded every opponent this season.Utah State’s leading scorer remains junior guard Sam Merrill, who averages 20.2 points per game.Portuguese national, freshman center Neemias Queta averages a team-best 8.5 rebounds per contest as well as 10.3 points per game.The Cougars are paced by complementary guards in junior Armoni Brooks (15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds per game) and senior Corey Davis Jr. (15.7 points, 3.3 rebounds per game). Davis also shoots a team-best 93.5 percent (29 of 31) at the foul line.Houston also places the clamps down defensively, giving up only 60.2 points per game while scoring a healthy 75.3 points per game themselves.last_img read more
