No net causing business travellers stress

first_imgLost luggage and no internet are the factors causing most stress amongst business travellers, according to a new study.A survey conducted by Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) on MICE travellers revealed that the majority of respondents cited lost luggage and poor internet connections as the key issues that were likely to cause stress while travelling, followed by economy-class travel on long haul flights.Flight delays also featured prominently on the list while language barriers caused greater stress for North American business travellers than those from other parts of the world. Polling 6,000 business travellers, the survey found women reported higher stress levels than men, while senior executives said they were more stressed than peers in other levels of the organisation. CWT head of solutions for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Vincent Lebunetel said the company’s findings would assist businesses make “smarter travel policy decisions”.“For instance, adaptive policies that reflect travel frequency or traveler demographics could improve traveler well-being as well as providing benefits to an organization,” he said.
