Man charged for stunt driving with 2 kids in car in

A Toronto man has been charged with stunt driving after police clocked a vehicle going nearly 60 kilometres over the speed limit on the Red Hill Valley Parkway. Shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday, officers saw a Honda CRV travelling at a high rate of speed near Greenhill Ave. Police pulled over a 26-year-old driver and discovered two children were also inside the vehicle. Police say the CRV was caught going 146 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone. The driver was charged with driving while under suspension, stunt driving and speeding. He is schedule to appear in court later Tuesday. The vehicle was impounded for seven days and an addition seven-day suspension was given to the driver. read more

Eastern Washington rolls after blocked kick beats Nicholls

CHENEY, Wash. — Sam McPherson ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns and No. 3 seed Eastern Washington scored 39 straight points to beat Nicholls 42-21 in the second round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday.The Eagles (10-2) will host the winner of No. 6 seed UC Davis and Northern Iowa in the quarterfinals next weekend.Eastern Washington trailed 14-3 after the Colonels (9-4) scored touchdowns on their first two possessions and Nicholls looked to add to the lead with a 37-yard field goal attempt at the end of the first half.
