“Jovic has told me that he only wants to succeed in Madrid”

first_imgBojan Custic (Germany, 1994) is part of the staff Luka Jovic (22 years old) since the beginning of 2020. Of great importance to complement the physical preparation of the striker at Real Madrid, he has become vital during his confinement in Serbia. Through video calls and audiovisual material, everything, including food, is under control. And he talks about it in this interview with Diario AS. 18 Is it weighed daily, as in Valdebebas?Yes, every morning we do weight control and measurements of legs, hips, chest, arms …Have you lost kilos, have you gained them, is it the same …?He looks very good. I would say that it even weighs less than before the coronavirus. Are you in contact with the Madrid specialists? Not for the moment. Is it possible for a footballer to keep fit in this situation? It is possible that they maintain their physique, but they miss training sessions, the ball, being on the grass with their teammates… but, well, it is possible. How difficult is it to motivate a player who doesn’t even know when the competition will return? When the footballer you are with is a professional, there is no problem. Luka is very focused on our workouts, regardless of whether he is looking forward to going back to his teammates.Do you also control your diet?Yes. We make a meal plan and it has its restrictions, but it is not something new for him. What does it consist of?Makes three main meals plus two fruit intakes between them. Their diet, in general, includes many fruits and vegetables. “Jovic wants the Bernabéu to create his name. And he hopes to get it” Luka has not had an easy adaptation to Spanish football. Does this also cover the psychological part? There are a lot of people on his team talking to him to try to help him and he is doing great. You will demonstrate your true potential, you just need to be patient. What does it tell you about your future? He told me that he only wants to succeed at Real Madrid, have a great career and that the Bernabéu creates his name. And you are confident that you can do it. When did you start working with Luka Jovic? Two months ago. What was your routine like with him then?We focused on strength work, stretching, agility and speed for recovery after efforts. And now, with the quarantine?Luka works three hours a day at home. Every morning we have a routine of one hour and in the afternoon, two hours of high intensity, maximum demand.Does it give you days off?He doesn’t have days off to use because he has recovery every day, so he never “gets free” at all.Was I prepared for this?In his apartment he has a treadmill, an exercise bike and other equipment, so we use it for our workouts. We are doing very specific sessions for soccer players, thinking about the needs for their movements. Every 14 days we update your training and your physical condition. How would you define Luka physically? He is in top shape and feels good in everything.cust_fit & nbsp; (Instagram) ‘); return false; “class =” item-multimedia “>Luka Jovic, exercising during his confinement in Serbia.cust_fit (Instagram)last_img read more

AT LAST! LETTERKENNY GENERAL HOSPITAL GETS BUDGET INCREASE

first_imgAFTER years of penny-pinching bureaucrats are finally giving Letterkenny General Hospital an INCREASE in funding. As part of sweeping changes to how the HSE funds the health service, the county’s only major hospital will get 7% more to spend on patients in 2013.It is still less than half the allocation per person given to regional and city hospitals elsewhere, but management say it is a “step in the right direction.” Sligo hospital is getting a 5.2% increase in its budget for the year“It is heartening to see that the good work of the management and staff in LGH has been recognised by the HSE and this comes after the opening of the new A&E last year in addition to the new Psychiatric Unit completed in 2011,” said Labour Party Senator Jimmy Harte.“I congratulate the hospital and look forward to working with them to highlight the important services that must be maintained in the hospital.“We have a fine hospital that we should be proud of and the continued support of the government is crucial to the future development of more services.” Under the HSE plans many hospitals have had their budgets cut, whilst others have seen moderate increases. However the Government has still failed to give Letterkenny a ‘regional’ status which would automatically trigger extra funding, despite the fact the Co Donegal facility treats more patients that several of the regional hospitals, including Sligo.Follow us on Twitterhttps://twitter.com/DonegalDaily AT LAST!
