Abby Goodrum finishes third and will receive a $25 gift certificate to The Dore.Gracy won the tiebreaker with Ferguson after missing six bowl picks. He predicted the number of points of the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl at 45 points and the lowest point total for a bowl at 21 points. Ferguson didn’t fill the tiebreaker points out so he finished second. When Gracy heard the news that he had won he was playing at an Oklahoma casino at the time.“Hell, I need to get back there and collect my winnings in Wellington, so I can lose it all down here,” Gracy said laughingly.Gracy said his winning formula wasn’t very scientific.“I just filled it out at the bar and turned it in,” Gracy said. “I didn’t do any research at all.”This year’s contest showed a majority of tallies in which people missed anywhere from 10 to 14 bowl games. The bowls that tripped up the most people were the Sugar Bowl with Oklahoma’s upset win over Alabama, the Orange Bowl with Clemson’s win over Ohio State, and the Fiesta Bowl with UCF’s upset over Baylor.Gracy missed two out of those three, but he did very well with the picks of the more minor bowls losing the Belk Bowl with North Carolina over Cincinnati and the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl with K-State over Michigan. The winning streak of Payton Baker who won both the bowl contest and the NCAA basketball tournament is over. He missed 13.Thanks for all who played in the contest. Our next contest will be the NCAA Basketball Tournament in March.last_img
